The Vernon D. Jarrett Foundation is a National 501(c)(3) non-profit educational institution committed to preserving and continuing the life-long efforts of its namesake – journalist, teacher, historian-Vernon D. Jarrett.

Everyone who knew Jarrett immediately sensed his commitment to education for those who were not fortunate enough to provide for themselves.  We feel he would want this Foundation to continue what he has worked so hard to establish, with no less vigor or commitment.

With that passion and expectation, we begin our Mission by seeking to raise and distribute scholarship funds through national organizations Jarrett had a familiar association with, as well as, supporting educational institution’s of higher learning through scholarship educational programs.
